BTS’ “Break The Silence: The Movie” is nominated for Best Music Documentary at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Voting for this category will open on 5/10 and close 5/11 on MTV’s Instagram stories!

“Break the Silence: The Movie” is a 2020 South Korean documentary film directed by Park Jun-soo and produced by Big Hit Three Sixty, featuring the behind-the-scenes of BTS’ 2018–2019 “Love Yourself World Tour.” It was promoted as the sequel to the band’s 2019 film “Bring the Soul: The Movie,” released on September 10, 2020 in select countries. The film is an adaptation of the band’s third documentary series, “Break The Silence: Docu-Series,” that was released on the fan platform Weverse in May.

The 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards are an upcoming awards presentation to be broadcast on May 16 and 17, 2021. It will be the 29th edition of the awards and the fourth to jointly honor movies and television, and the first to feature a second night, which will be devoted exclusively to awards in reality television

The full list of nominees was announced on April 19, 2021. MTV did not announce or hold a 2020 edition of the ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MTV announced on March 11, 2021 that the ceremony would be scheduled for May 16 and 17, 2021, with the first night to focus on films and scripted television, and the second (titled MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted) to focus on unscripted and reality television
