London’s “National Gallery” Art Museum Mentioned BTS’ RM & They Might Secretly Be ARMY…

“Namjoon aka BTS’ RM is a lover of art and nature and has i inspired a legion of followers who post moments where they are out in nature, at galleries or travelling with the hashtag “Namjooning” RM even talked about how he feels inspiring fans to love nature and all its givings in a Rolling Stone article. When you search that keyword, ‘Namjooning’ you will find catalogues and posts about countless fans enjoying outdoors and visiting beautiful spaces. On July 26th 2021, Namjoon posted photos of himself at a gallery and during their interview for BBC Radio 1 RM mentioned his favorite artist.

Namjoon talked about British painter, William Turner and he could see lots of Turner’s works at The National Gallery in London He felt his dream came true.

“Turner is perhaps the best-loved English Romantic artist. He became known as ‘the painter of light’, because of his increasing interest in brilliant colours as the main constituent in his landscapes and seascapes. His works include water colours, oils and engravings.” The National Gallery

On 27th July 2021 The National Gallery mentioned RM and shared some more of the art from RM’s favorite artist.

The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster, in Central London. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. The Gallery is an exempt charity, and a non-departmental public body of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

Its collection belongs to the government on behalf of the British public, and entry to the main collection is free of charge. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic it attracted only 1,197,143 visitors, a drop of 50 percent from 2019, but it still ranked eighth on the list of most-visited art museums in the world.

The Gallery holds paintings such as Jan van Eyck β€œThe Arnolfini Portrait,” Leonardo da Vinci β€œThe Virgin of the Rocks,” Sandro Botticelli β€œVenus and Mars,” β€œHans Holbein the Younger β€œThe Ambassadors,” and Johannes Vermeer β€œLady Standing at a Virginal” George Stubbs β€œWhistlejacket,” John Constable β€œThe Hay Wain,” β€œJ. M. W. Turner β€œThe Fighting Temeraire,” Georges Seurat β€œBathers at AsniΓ¨res,” Vincent van Gogh β€œSunflowers” among other great artists’ works.

In February 2014, Men of the Docks, by U.S. artist George Bellows, was bought by the National Gallery for $25.5 million (Β£15.6 million). It was the first major American painting to be purchased by the Gallery. Source
