“The much anticipated BTS’ “Butter” feat. Megan Thee Stallion Remix has ended its first day with over 6.7 million Spotify streams. This has been enough for it to hold the record for biggest sportify debut for a remix beating “Save your Tears” remix by American artists Ariana Grande and The Weeknd. Overcoming some court legal battles, the song was released on 27th August 2021 with an audio and visualizer version on both BangtanTV and HYBE Labels, BTS’ Youtube channels.
The original “Butter” single released 21st May 2021 topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for nine weeks, the longest running #1 on the chart for 2021 so far. The official “Butter” music video has since been viewed half a billion times already. The remix is now BTS’ fifth highest debut on Spotify, after “Life Goes On” 9.5M, “Dynamite” 12.6M, “Permission to Dance” 13.4M and “Butter” 20.88M taking the top position.
