BTS Received Plaques For their Record Breaking Supremacy Of “Butter” On US Billboard Hot 100 Chart

“Butter” was released on 21st May 2021 and it hit the ground running with breaking records, setting new records and breaking BTS’ own records. Butter’s premiere garnered over 3.9 million peak concurrent viewers on YouTube, surpassing previous record holder “Dynamite” which had over 3 million concurrent views in August 2020, and set a new all-time record for the biggest music video premiere on the platform. “Butter” became the the most viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours garnering 108.2 million view thus setting four new Guinness World Records. With 11.042 million first-day streams on the Spotify global chart, “Butter” set a new record for the biggest song debut in the platform’s history earning itself a Guinness World Record for the achievement.

“Butter” is the official Song Of The Summer and it has been #1 on Billboard Hot 100 Chart for 10 weeks becoming longest leading single on the chart for this year.

While on their 3 day stay in New York City, BTS and HYBE CEO Shin Yong Jae met with Columbia Records Chairman and CEO Ron Perry.

On his Instagram page Ron Perry who was one of the writers wrote

“Congrats BTS and Columbia Records for 10 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for “Butter’ I’m so proud of your boys! One for each member!” Ron Perry
