BTS’ “Dynamite” Returns On Billboard HOT 100 Making History Once More

“Dynamite” is back on the Billboard HOT 100 at #5, Billboard Global 200 at #3 and Billboard Global 200 Excl. US at #1 charts this week. After 19 weeks up 39 places ‘Dynamite’ is now the longest charting song on Top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 chart (13 weeks) by a Korean act in history!

“Dynamite” debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the band’s first number-one single in the United States and making BTS the first all-South Korean act to top the Hot 100 charts. “Dynamite” stayed atop the Hot 100 for three total weeks. “Dynamite” peaked at number one on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, topping the latter for three consecutive weeks. “Dynamite” was later included on BTS’ fifth Korean-language album, “BE” released November 20th.

When the video premiered on 21st August, it garnered over 3 million peak concurrent viewers, setting a new all-time record for the biggest music video premiere on the platform. It became the fastest YouTube video to reach 10 million views, doing so after only 20 minutes of release, and the most viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours, earning 101.1 million views and setting three new Guinness World Records.

The music video is the fastest in YouTube history to cross the 200 million mark, in just four days and twelve hours after release, and the fastest by a music group to surpass 400 million views, doing so on September 26, 35 days after release. The music video crossed 600 million views on November 16, in just under 27 days of its exceeding the 500 million mark on October 20th. “Dynamite” is BTS’ ninth MV to achieve the milestone. The video has now surpassed 750 million views on YouTube.
